Fruit Cake Topper

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried currents
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup mixed orange and lemon peel, chopped
  • 1/4 cup candied pineapple
  • 1/4 cup candied cherries
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 30 drops Hedessent Clover
  • 40 drops Hedessent Apple Cider
  • 30 drops Hedessent Ginger
  • 10 drops Hedessent Vanilla Bourbon
  • 15 drops Hedessent Cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large pot over medium heat, add all ingredients except the pecans. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved and the topping becomes fragrant.
  • Remove from heat and stir in pecans.
  • Serve warm over fresh burrata cheese with toasted crostini.
