Equipment

  • Coffee Grinder
  • 2 Litre Jar with lid
  • Sieve
  • Cheesecloth

Ingredients

  • 3/4 - 1 cup cold brew coffee will vary depending on the cup size and amount of ice used.
  • Ice
  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk Optional: Omit condensed milk and use 1/2 cup of half-and-half or cream of your choice to reduce sugar content, or add your preferred sweetener.
  • 10 drops Vanilla Cookie Flavour Drops Available as 30ml or in Coffee Lovers Kit
  • 20 drops Caramel Flavour Drops Available as 30ml or in Coffee Lovers Kit
  • 3-5 drops Hazelnut Flavour Drops Exclusive to Coffee Lovers Kit

Instructions

Making Cold Brew Coffee

  • Coarsely grind the coffee beans to a medium coarseness, ideal for a French press.
  • Transfer the grounds to a 2-litre jar, and slowly pour filtered water over them, stirring well to ensure all grounds are wet.
  • Cover and let it sit at room temperature for at least 12 hours.
  • After brewing, place a cheesecloth-lined sieve over a large measuring cup or bowl, and slowly pour the coffee through the strainer. Do not press the grounds to avoid releasing bitter oils.
  • Transfer the strained cold brew to a clean jar and refrigerate for up to 7-10 days.

Caramel Hazelnut Cold Brew

  • Fill a large glass (12-16 oz) with ice. Add 3/4 to 1 cup of cold brew coffee and Vanilla Cookie Flavour Drops. Stir briefly. If using a smaller cup, adjust the amount of coffee accordingly.
  • In a separate container, mix half and half, condensed milk (if using), Caramel Flavour Drops, and Hazelnut Flavour Drops until well combined.
  • Pour the flavoured cream over the cold brew, add more ice if necessary, stir, and enjoy!

Notes

For a less sweet variation, replace condensed milk with evaporated milk, or omit it altogether and use only half and half, or dairy alternative of choice. If you go this route, use just 1-2 drops of hazelnut flavour.
