Candy Cane Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients

Cocoa

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 5 Drops Candy Cane Flavour drops exclusively in the Holiday Kit
  • ¼ cup crushed candy canes optional
  • Tiny marshmallows optional

Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1-2 tbsp tbsp icing sugar
  • 10-15 drops Marshmallow flavour

Chocolate Drizzle

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 5 drops Candy Cane Flavour Drops
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Cocoa

  • Heat milk, cocoa powder, and sugar until warm. Add Candy Cane flavour and stir until smooth.

Whipped Cream

  • Beat cream until slightly thickened. Add icing sugar and Marshmallow flavour, then continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Chocolate Sauce

  • Whisk cocoa powder and sugar together in a cold saucepan until smooth. Add salt and water, then bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat. Add Candy Cane flavour, reduce to a simmer, and stir constantly for about 30 seconds. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembly

  • Pour hot cocoa into mugs. Top with flavoured whipped cream, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and sprinkle with crushed candy canes. Optional: finish with marshmallows.
