Blueberry Café Latte

Ingredients

Blueberry Syrup

  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 5 drops Hedessent Juicy Blueberry Flavour Drops
  • 2 drops Hedessent Vanilla Waffle Flavour Drops

Latte

  • 2 tbsp homemade blueberry syrup
  • 1 shot espresso
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions

Blueberry Syrup

  • Add blueberries, sugar, and water to a small saucepan. Stir in Juicy Blueberry and Vanilla Waffle Flavour Drops.
  • Set the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture comes to a simmer.
  • Let the syrup simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from the heat.
  • Pour the syrup into a heat-safe container and refrigerate to cool.

Assembly

  • Pull a shot of espresso.
  • Into a latte glass, add 1–2 tbsp blueberry syrup.
  • Heat or steam the milk until frothy. Pour into the latte glass, reserving some foam.
  • Gently pour the espresso shot over the hot milk to create a layered effect.
  • Spoon the reserved foam on top. Optionally, garnish with 1–2 fresh blueberries
