Fig Cashew Cheese Crostini with Sage Infused Balsamic

Ingredients

  • 24 pre made crostini
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup roasted salted almonds, chopped
  • 6 fresh figs quartered. Small fressh fig leaves for garnish

Fig and Garlic vegan cheese

  • 2 packages plain cashew cream cheese or homemade (450g)
  • 1/3 cup plain almond milk
  • 22 drops Hedessent Fresh Fig Flavour
  • 10 drops Hedessent Garlic Flavour

Sage Infused Balsamic

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 6 drops Hedessent Sage Flavour

Instructions

  • Combine sugar and boiling water until sugar dissolves. Stir in Hedessent Fig Flavour to balsmamic vinegar. Toss fig quarters in mixture
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place figs in shallow baking dish and roast for 8-10 minutes until soft. Reserve balsamic juices for drizzle.
  • Using stand mixer or handheld mixer, whip cheese with almond milk until fluffy. Add Hedessent Fig and Garlic flavourings. Whip and combine.
  • To Assemble: Place 1 tbsp chashew cheese on crostini. Top with 1/2-1 teaspoon chipped almonds and fig quarter. Top with sage leaf and drizzle with balsamic mixture.
