Apple Crisp Mule

Equipment

  • Shaker Set or Mason Jar
  • Jigger or Tablespoon
  • Strainer
  • Knife + Cutting board
  • Hand Juicer
  • Mule Mug or Rocks Glass
  • Bottle Opener

Ingredients

  • 3 oz ginger beer
  • 2 oz buttered rum* or spiced rum - See instructions below for Buttered Rum
  • 1.5 oz cloudy apple juice
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 5 drops Hedessent Graham Crust
  • 5 drops Hedessent Apple Pie

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients, excluding the ginger beer, into a shaker tin or mason jar. Add ice and vigorously shake for 10 seconds. Strain over fresh ice into a mule

How to Make Buttered Rum

  • Pour 250ml of Spiced Rum into a mason jar. Add 60ml of melted butter to mason jar. Seal mason jar tight and vigorously shake for 10 seconds. Let the mix sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Within those 30 minutes, shake the jar two more times. After the 30 minutes, place mix into the freezer for 2 hours.
  • Once the butter has solidified, strain the mix through a coffee filter or paper towel. Store in a clean jar and keep refrigerated.
