Ingredients

Air Fryer French Fries

  • 1 russet potato, scrubbed and unpeeled or 2 Yukon Gold potatoes 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper or Herbes de Provence
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • Pinch Smoked Paprika
  • Garnish Kosher Salt to taste
  • Parmesan optional

Instructions

  • Cut potato into ¼-inch thick slices and ¼-inch thick matchsticks; place in a large bowl filled with hot tap water for 10 minutes. This will help to achieve the crispy french fry result.  
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Drain potatoes and then dry on paper towels. Transfer to a large bowl and toss with oil, salt, Herbes de Provence, and pepper, tossing well to coat. 
  • Cook potatoes in air fryer in one layer, without overcrowding, cooking in two batches if necessary. Cook for 8 minutes; shake basket, turning potatoes and continue cooking until light brown and crispy, 6 to 8 minutes. 
  • Transfer fries to a bowl and sprinkle with salt and freshly grated Parmesan (if desired). Serve with aioli.
